Four summers ago, we compiled all of the digital-only releases to date from Space Daze (the solo project from Danny Rowland of Seapony) onto a rather lengthy 27-track disc called "Waves Collapsing". Now, we're thrilled to do it again on the even longer 34-track "Prior To Being", which collects all seven of the digital-only releases that have quietly snuck out since his 2019 debut album, "Too Mystical" (also on Jigsaw)! If you've not listened to Danny's music before, he plays very gentle and breezy indiepop with layers of jangly acoustic and electric guitars, softly sung vocals and reverb all over the place. I'd put this in the same category as Real Estate and Reds, Pinks & Purples, but really I just wanna say that he's essentially the American version of Bart Cummings (Cat's Miaow, Pencil Tin, Bart & Friends, etc) - I mean, he's written so many songs and all of them are quite good!
