Earlier this year, as Jigsaw's 28th birthday was approaching, we were also about to hit our 200th release - I knew we had to do something special for it, but didn't know exactly what yet, so the third Crabber album came out as PZL201 in July, and PZL200 was set aside for the time being. Since then, a few more releases were planned (be sure to check back in on those in the coming months!), but a special milestone-worthy release still eluded me. Fast forward to a couple months ago, my buddy Mark asked if I would help with an upcoming mini-series of split 7"s he was releasing to celebrate Lost & Lonesome's 25th anniversary - I told him about my 200th release idea and just like that, a co-release was born! A truly special artifact, this 7" pairs two equally classic indiepop bands! Rocketship (who were one of Jigsaw's very first releases back in 1997!) give us two synth-led tunes: the Stranger Things soundtrack-esque "Chat Me Up" (which is only available on the vinyl, by request of the band) and a gentle and gorgeous take on "Moon Love", inspired by Dusty's love of the Chet Baker & Frank Sinatra versions. On the other side, the Cat's Miaow (who have been enjoying a well-deserved resurgence of popularity lately) turn in their first new recordings in 25 years - and apart from an improved recording quality, it almost sounds as if no time has passed since their original run of absolutely perfect 7"s back in the '90s!

300 pressed on black vinyl; co-released with Lost & Lonesome Records. All songs written by the respective artist, except track 2 by Tchaikovsky / Kostelanetz.
