Continuing the inadvertent trend of releases that coincide with the Jigsaw label's 30th anniversary, here's a reissue of this classic indiepop band's debut album, which just happened to have originally come out only a few months after the first Jigsaw release! I've dearly loved this band ever since their first 7" and remember being elated when this record came out, and I have to say its relentlessly cheery twee-pop still puts a smile on my face today. This reissue is even more special, though, as it includes the songs sung by their original bass player, Renee, whose bitter departure caused the band to trim them from the original release. Sure, it's only three songs, but they've never been released in any form before, so their inclusion (as well as that of "Inanimate Objects", which came out on 7" the following year) is a welcome delight! Also released on vinyl via the band's own Silly Moo and HHBTM Records, this is an excellent example of '90s American twee-pop!
