Almost nine years have passed since this Brooklyn band's last album ("Chosen Era", also on Jigsaw), and though their lives have certainly changed a lot in that time, Lame Drivers' sound kinda really hasn't. They still have a wonderfully diverse style - you know the kind where when someone asks "what do they sound like?", you have to respond with "well, which song are you asking about?". In the first five songs alone, we've got gentle powerpop with chorused guitars, followed by Wipers-ish post-punk, Guided By Voices-ish indie rock, a song that could've appeared on "Lifes Rich Pageant", followed by some swirly psych-pop - and believe me, side two is just as widely varied! And like their previous album, this is a co-release with Bleeding Gold Records (whom the band coaxed out of retirement!), with that label handling the vinyl version containing the first ten tracks here, and the final four being dubbed a "bonus EP" that's only available on the cd version.
Not limited. All songs written by Lame Drivers. Available digitally on Bandcamp.
