it's been quite a few years since Anthony's last release, the self-titled Anthony Rochesters EP, and even longer since his last solo album, "Hot Hits '96" (both also on Jigsaw), but that's what happens when life gets in the way. But despite the long wait, his sound has not changed all that much; he's still playing easy-going AM-styled soft-pop filled with vintage synths and melodies galore. You'll even find a little bit of a disco feel in songs like "Parasep Discotheque" and "Let's Make Love Happen". The band he reminds me the most of is the Simple Carnival, but he also has a bit of a Jens Lekman-esque charm to him - and try as you might, it's really hard to resist good old Anthony Rochester...
Not limited. All songs written by Anthony Rochester. Available digitally on Bandcamp.
