Lots of goodies to tell you about this month, so let's have a look, shall we?

First off, at long last, is the retrospective disc from CASINO ASHTRAYS, the underdog tweepoppers from southern California (circa the late '90s/early '00s). Most of their output was released on Raoul's legendary tape label, POPGUN RECORDINGS, with a few compilation tracks here and there - now you can get all of them* (one song was left off at the request of the band - believe me I tried!) on one handy, and relatively hiss-free, compact disc! Read more and listen to a couple tracks on the release page. More Jigsaw releases are on the horizon, so stay tuned!

Let's skip the new releases and go straight for the used section, where we're having a big sale to try to get rid of our used stock. Having a nice, well-stocked used section worked really well back when I had a physical shop, but now that I'm online-only, it's actually kind of a bother. That said, all of our used records/tapes/cds are on sale until the end of the month, when I'm gonna unload them somewhere else. As Kitty Sanchez would say, take a good look at THESE, because it's the last time you're gonna see them!

Okay, back to the new! A recent trip to Portland awarded me with a nice box of records from MAGIC MARKER RECORDS, including the new BOAT cd (also on really cool colored vinyl!) and accompanying single, the excellent HAIRS 7" and the new DIRTY MITTENS cd/single, as well as some key re-stocks.

Another label I must mention is DUFFLECOAT RECORDS, a new cd-r label from the UK with many excellent releases, all of which I have in stock! Fans of the Jigsaw release will want to pick up the PERU cd, which contains six songs not on our retrospective! May I also recommend the EPs from the KENSINGTONS, SKITTLE ALLEY, and LAZY LORELEI / ONWARD CHARIOTS, as well as the label's sole vinyl release, a new 7" from A FINE DAY FOR SAILING.

Other new notables include a series of bootleg lps I procured, including a SMITHS radio session, early CURE demos, MY BLOODY VALENTINE rarities and PIXIES Peel sessions (and a few others). I actually already sold out of the JESUS AND MARY CHAIN early demos lp, but if I get enough interest, I might restock. As well, I highly recommend the POPGUN PLOT 7", SCUMBAG PHILOSPHER cd, SANDY CITY lp and the new TVPS tribute album.

As usual, you can find all this stuff (and more) on the NEW RELEASES page, so go have a peek!

Okay, that's it for now. If you'd like, please sign up for our Twitter for slightly more frequent updates...
